Students are currently preparing to introduce editorial cartooning to the school publication, with guidance from Ms. Karen De Vera, a an expert in visual storytelling. Ms. De Vera emphasized the power of cartoons to engage readers and offer new perspectives in a lighthearted yet impactful way. “Editorial cartoons are an excellent medium for delivering thoughtful messages while keeping the audience entertained,” she said. The editorial cartoons are expected to debut in the next issue of the school publication, marking a new chapter in the creative direction of the school’s journalistic efforts. SELG Officers Partner with SPTA and Principal for Pocket Garden Revitalization

In a strong collaborative effort to enhance the school’s environmental initiatives, the officers of the Student Environmental Leadership Group (SELG) have teamed up with the School Parents and Teachers Association (SPTA) and School Principal IV, Dr. Tirso V. Gali, to revitalize the school’s pocket garden. This partnership aims to transform the garden into a more sustainable and visually appealing space, providing a tranquil and eco-friendly environment for students, teachers, and staff. Under the guidance of SELG Adviser, Mr. Mark Henry Z. Tiongson, and with support from Dr. Gali and the SPTA, the project not only beautifies the campus but also promotes environmental awareness, teamwork, and the importance of green spaces in improving overall well-being. “The revitalization of the pocket garden gives our students the opportunity to actively contribute to a meaningful project while applying the environmental concepts they have learned,” said Mr. Tiongson.
