MMES Reaffirms Home-School Partnership at SPTA General Assembly and Oath-Taking for SY 2025–2026

      MMES holds SPTA General Assembly and Oath-Taking Ceremony of Newly Elected School Parent for SY 2025–2026 Marcela Marcelo Elementary School successfully conducted its School Parent-Teacher Association (SPTA) General Assembly and Oath-Taking Ceremonies today July 14, 2025, at 1:30 PM at the MMES Gymnasium. The activity marked a renewed commitment to strengthening the partnership between home and school in delivering quality, inclusive, and transformative education. Mrs. Cheryl D. Tagarao, Master Teacher I, warmly welcomed the parents, stakeholders, and school personnel in attendance. She also presented school updates and relevant matters concerning the learners’ development and academic progress. Highlighting the event was the presentation of the SPTA Accomplishment Report for SY 2024–2025 by Mrs. Lauren J. Ticman the outgoing SPTA President. The report detailed the initiatives, partnerships, and programs implemented over the past year, underscoring the vital role of parent-teacher collaboration in school improvement. The Oath-Taking Ceremony of the newly elected SPTA and HPTA officers for School Year 2025–2026 was presided over by Dr. Tirso V. Gali, School Principal IV who also delivered the ceremonial challenge to the officers. In response, Mr. Edel Matias, the Newly Elected SPTA President delivered a message of acceptance, expressing gratitude and affirming his commitment to serve the school community with dedication and unity. The event concluded with closing remarks from Ms. Jennifer G. Bucag, SPTA Adviser who commended the collaborative spirit of the Marcelanians family. The program was smoothly moderated by Ms. Mariel L. Andrade and Ms. Claudine G. Altar. This year’s SPTA General Assembly reaffirmed the significance of shared responsibility in nurturing learners and shaping a future-ready school community.

MMES Celebrates Nutrition Month with Colorful Parade, Festive Program, and Zumba Dance

          Marcela Marcelo Elementary School (MMES) celebrated Nutrition Month on July 4, 2025, with fun and meaningful activities. The event was led by the school nurse, Joan Kathleen, and followed this year’s theme: “Sa PPAN: Sama-sama sa Nutrisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat!”           The celebration started with a cheerful parade, featuring the MMES drum and lyre band along with SPTA officers, teachers, and students. Even though the ground was wet from earlier rain, the parade went on successfully.           After the parade, a school program was held where students wore bright and colorful fruit-themed headdresses. They performed dances and activities that highlighted the importance of eating healthy.           To end the day, everyone joined a lively Zumba session—including students, teachers, the school head, master teachers, and the SPTA president. The energy and smiles showed the strong support for healthy habits in the MMES community.           The event was a fun and inspiring way to remind everyone about the importance of good nutrition and staying active.            

Division Holds Orientation on ARAL Program for School Heads and Master Teachers

              In a proactive step toward enhancing learning recovery and instructional support, the Schools Division conducted an orientation on the ARAL Program attended by school heads and selected master teachers across the division on July 3, 2025.             The orientation aimed to deepen participants’ understanding of the program’s framework, goals, and strategies for effective implementation. Emphasizing the importance of responsive and inclusive teaching, the session served as a platform for school leaders and instructional coaches to align efforts in addressing learning gaps.            Resource speakers p rovided a comprehensive overview of the ARAL Program’s components, including learner profiling, targeted interventions, and progress monitoring. Open discussions encouraged collaborative planning, allowing participants to share insights and best practices from their respective schools.           By equipping school leaders and master teachers with the right tools and direction, the division continues its commitment to delivering quality, equitable education for all learners.

MMES Receives School Bag Donation from LGU-Pasay

         Marcela Marcelo Elementary School (MMES) proudly received a generous donation of school bags from the Local Government Unit of Pasay. The distribution was warmly welcomed by students, parents, and teachers alike, as it provided much-needed support to help learners begin the school year with confidence and complete school essentials.         This initiative highlights LGU-Pasay’s strong commitment to education and community development. By equipping students with the tools they need, the local government empowers young minds and reinforces the shared responsibility of nurturing future-ready learners.
