School-Based National Teachers’ Day 2021

Every year on October 5, the world celebrates World Teachers’ Day to highlight the responsibilities, rights, and the value of teachers. This year’s National Teachers’ Month theme is Gurong Pilipino, Katuwang sa Hamon, Kasama sa Pagbangon. In connection with this the Supreme Pupil Government officers and the Faculty Club judiciously planned the celebration; each of them were given tasks to work on the following: a) program and invitation b) raffle c) presentations d) documentation and other related tasks for the said event.

Our school conducted different activities for the celebration of teachers’ day. Everyone was encouraged to customize their profile photos on Facebook to carry on the NTM logo and to post advocacy campaigns on social media. The learners were advised to reminisce their magnificent memories with their teachers by sharing the photos of them and their teacher from kindergarten up to the present. They were also invited to post a video message for their teachers on social media or send it to their teachers’ messenger chat. Teacher Mini was also conducted wherein the learners are going to dress like their teachers. It was fun to watch as the learners portray how dignified the teachers were.

On October 5, 2021 at 1 o’clock in the afternoon, the school conducted an electronic raffle for teachers via google meet. Different raffle items were solicited from different stakeholders. All the teachers participated in the electronic raffle. It was fun and full of excitement. Mrs. Regine R. De Gama and Mrs. Reslyn B. Villa were the masters of ceremonies.

The main event of the celebration was the culminating activity held via Facebook Live. It started with the national anthem followed by a prayer, Pasay Hymn, MMES Hymn, and Prayer for the Teachers led by pupils from Kindergarten to Grade Six. The program was beautifully adorned by the warm messages from the School Head, Ms Norma B. Jamon and Public Schools District Supervisor, Ms. Lovelynn Jane S. Bacera. It was followed by heartfelt greetings and messages from SPG and learners. The SPG officers showcase their talents in the intermission number. E-certificates were given to learners who participated in Teacher Mini Me. The highlight of the virtual program was the Loyalty Awardees for Teaching and Non-Teaching Personnel. The school also acknowledged the meritorious and dedicated service of our only retiree, Mrs. Remely N. Rapi who served our school for 37 years. She was given a plaque of appreciation in promoting quality, liberating, and relevant educational services at the DepEd. The celebration was flavored with a high stake of raffles, intermissions and presentations from learners and selected teachers. The Teachers ‘Month ended with a closing remark from Mrs. Girlie H. Tapiz, GPTA outgoing President. The emcee of the said program was Alyssa Nicolle C. Labandia and Axel A. Roldan. It was a heart-fulfilling activity!
