Philippine Standard Time:

In a strong collaborative effort to enhance the school’s environmental initiatives, the officers of the Student Environmental Leadership Group (SELG) have teamed up with the School Parents and Teachers Association (SPTA) and School Principal IV, Dr. Tirso V. Gali, to revitalize the school’s pocket garden.

This partnership aims to transform the garden into a more sustainable and visually appealing space, providing a tranquil and eco-friendly environment for students, teachers, and staff. Under the guidance of SELG Adviser, Mr. Mark Henry Z. Tiongson, and with support from Dr. Gali and the SPTA, the project not only beautifies the campus but also promotes environmental awareness, teamwork, and the importance of green spaces in improving overall well-being.

“The revitalization of the pocket garden gives our students the opportunity to actively contribute to a meaningful project while applying the environmental concepts they have learned,” said Mr. Tiongson. Dr. Gali expressed his enthusiasm for the project, highlighting its importance in fostering a sense of community and shared responsibility among students, teachers, and parents alike.

With plans to introduce more native plants and implement sustainable gardening practices, the project is set to be completed in the coming weeks. This initiative underscores the SELG’s ongoing commitment to environmental advocacy and reflects the school’s efforts in cultivating a greener, more sustainable future.
