The recent session on the reorientation of HR actions and budgetary requirements provided School-Based Administrative Officers and Administrative Assistant II with essential insights into optimizing resource management and enhancing administrative efficiency. This initiative aims to strengthen the overall operational framework of schools, ensuring alignment with current policies and financial planning.

Remedial classes are being offered to grade three students, ensuring they receive the additional guidance needed to strengthen their skills and achieve academic growth.

Students participate in a contest “School-Based Festival of Talents in EPP/TLE”, competing in categories Invitation Card Making using Microsoft Tools and Dish Gardening. The event was led by Mrs. Zabala, with the supervision by Mrs. Opeňa, Master Teacher II, providing students with the opportunity to showcase their creativity and practical skills. 

Aspiring journalists and teacher trainers gathered for an engaging and dynamic Day 1 of the 2-day School-Based Training-Workshop in Journalism at MMES Multipurpose Hall on December 17. Day 1 focused on essential categories including News Writing, Editorial Writing, and Column Writing, providing participants with hands-on learning and an opportunity to refine their journalistic skills. This workshop serves as a crucial step in fostering critical thinking, ethical reporting, and effective storytelling in an ever-evolving media landscape. Through practical exercises and expert guidance, future journalists are being equipped with the tools to succeed in modern journalism. This is just the beginning, with Day 2 set to build on these foundational skills, shaping the next generation of media professionals. A heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Tirso V. Gali, school head, for the unwavering support, whose dedication and vision made this workshop possible. His commitment to empowering the next generation of journalists is truly commendable, and we are grateful for his continued encouragement in fostering the growth of these aspiring professionals.

Monitoring and evaluating the implementation of the Child-Friendly School System through Project CARES is essential for creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. By regularly assessing the program’s effectiveness, the project ensures that schools meet the emotional, social, and academic needs of students. This process helps identify areas for improvement, ensures the system is working as intended, and fosters a culture where students feel valued, respected, and empowered to succeed. Through ongoing evaluation, Project CARES upholds the core principles of child-centered education, contributing to the overall development and well-being of every student.

The meeting between the school head and grade leaders serves as a vital platform for strategic collaboration and effective communication within the school. During these sessions, key educational initiatives, student progress, and departmental challenges are discussed to ensure alignment with the school’s overall goals. In partnership with grade leaders, the School Head reviews academic performance, addresses concerns, and sets priorities for the upcoming terms. These meetings are essential for fostering a cohesive leadership team, ensuring that teachers and students are supported and that the school’s educational standards are consistently upheld.

Ms. Izzah Caballero, BINHI Coordinator, actively monitors BINHI classes to ensure that students receive the support they need to thrive. Through careful oversight, she ensures that the program’s objectives are met, teaching methods are effective, and students’ progress is consistently tracked. This proactive monitoring is essential in maintaining high academic standards, identifying areas for improvement, and providing timely interventions to support each student’s learning journey

The vibrant halls of Varela Hall at the Department of Education NCR, Regional Office were abuzz with excitement on December 12, 2024, as student leaders from across the National Capital Region gathered for the 2024 Regional Federation of Supreme Elementary and Secondary Learner Government (SELG and SSLG) Election and Oath Taking. Representing schools from all divisions, these young leaders carried with them the hopes and aspirations of their fellow students. Among the passionate participants was Renz Gabriel A. Prila, the dynamic SELG President of Marcela Marcelo Elementary School. Already recognized for his exemplary leadership as the Division Federation SELG President, Prila was elected as a Vice President of the Regional Federation Supreme Elementary Learner Government—a testament to his dedication and vision for student governance. Accompanying him was SELG and Division Federation SELG Adviser, Mr. Mark Henry Z. Tiongson whose guidance and support played a pivotal role in Prila’s journey. The event, brimming with youthful energy and inspiring speeches, marked a significant milestone in the lives of these student leaders, especially for Prila, whose new role promises to amplify his impact across the region.
