Ahead of the 2025 National and Local Elections, Meralco conducted a comprehensive thermal scanning of the electrical systems at Marcela Marcelo Elementary School to ensure the school’s infrastructure is fully prepared for the demands of election day. The inspection, carried out on February 6, 2025, is part of MERALCO’s ongoing commitment to supporting local institutions during crucial events like elections, where uninterrupted power supply is vital for smooth operations.

The thermal scanning process involves checking for potential issues such as overheating or electrical imbalances in the school’s wiring and equipment. By identifying these concerns in advance, MERALCO aims to prevent any power-related disruptions that could impact election activities, including the voting process, election monitoring, and communications.

This proactive measure is in line with the Commission on Elections’ (COMELEC) preparations to ensure that all polling centers, including MMES, are adequately equipped with reliable power sources. School officials and local authorities are working closely with Meralco to address any identified issues promptly, guaranteeing that the election day will proceed without technical setbacks.

The thermal scanning at MMES not only safeguards the school’s electrical system but also reflects the broader efforts to ensure a secure, efficient, and well-prepared environment for both voters and election personnel in the upcoming 2025 elections.
