In preparation for the Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC) 2025, an ongoing series of editorial cartooning training sessions has been held almost every day, led by Ms. Karen De Vera. The sessions, which focus on developing students’ abilities to craft insightful and impactful editorial cartoons, are supported by Dr. Tirso V. Gali, the school principal, and the School Paper Advisers (SPAs).
Ms. De Vera has guided students through advanced techniques in visual communication, teaching them how to use humor, symbolism, and clear messaging to address relevant social issues. With consistent support from Dr. Gali and the SPAs, the training is designed to ensure students are well-prepared and confident as they approach RSPC 2025. The school’s commitment to daily, hands-on instruction underscores its dedication to nurturing students’ creative and journalistic talents.
